I have a dvd with the main film (with two subtitles) and an alternative stream with the subtitle regarding the director's comment.
Using the DVDDecrypter v. 1.2.0 (in the demux tab) I saw that in the main vob there was two subtitle streams (italian and english) while in the alternative vob (which has the same time length and therefore I think it was the alternative stream) that was only one subtitle stream (italian, I think it was the director's comment). I rip the alternative stream.
Unfortunately when I open the ripped vob using SubRip it tells me that the subtitle stream were two and they were the main subtitles (not the director's comment subtitles).

Can anybody tells me how is possible to extract the subtitles with the director's comment?

Thanks

Maybe you have to select a different .ifo to extract the directors comments?
No clue, just an idea...

I'm not totally sure, but I think that there was only an ifo...
Anyway thanks this evening I will check and then I tell

Alternatively you could try VobSub (guide on doom9.org), it is capable of saving .srt-format too, if I remember correctly (it can do OCR, that I'm sure of at least)...

Maybe in my previous post I'm not explained well. I have ripped not the main pgc but an alternative pgc (which has the same length of the main one but only one subtitle stream).
I try to look at the stream information file that DVDDecrypter writes and it tells that there is only one subtitle stream in the pgc I have ripped. How it is possible that subrip shows me the two main subtitles which aren't reported in the streams windows of DVDDecrypter and it doesn't show the subtitle I wish?

If I extract the subtitles using vobsub is then possible to convert the stream into an .srt file in order to mux it inside an ogm file?

Thanks

SubRip can deal with VobSub ripped subtitle files.

Try to open ifo with IfoEdit and perhaps you might be able to deduce something from it's output.

BTW, there is DVDDecrypter ver 3.2.1.0 here. (http://www.dvddecrypter.com/download.asp)

I've already tried to use IfoEdit and it tells me that there are 3 subtitle streams (0x20, 0x21 and 0x22) but SubRip show only two streams....
