I want to buy a Router with a ADSL modem in it and an integrated firewall. So I could narrow the search down to two routers. But which one is the most reliable and has the most usefull features?
On Google I couldn't find enough information so I hope you can give me some hints.

Something else you may want to consider. If you have a single printer and you want to connect multiple computers to it, look for a router that also has a built in print server.

SpeedStreams have this and its saved me the cost of buying a separate print server.

DLink randomly crash if you use too much connections (like with eMule). I tryed 2 dlink router (one had wireless, home and work). Both crash on heavy load, up to 6 times a day. You should get a Linksys.

since i am currently visiting my mother, i spent 3 days fighting with her dlink-514 wireless router + a dlink wlan-card. the router seems to have a too weak signal or whatsoever, the connection cuts off every time i move more that one roomaway in the house and also randomly cuts off even when the notebook stands right next to the router.

i will go and buy a linksys router and wlan card tomorrow, wich is very recommended by me. linksys is a subdivision of cisco systems. might be a little more expensive but personally i always go for brands, that are known to be reliable, since it really pays of in the end.

good luck.
