I've got a VIDEO_TS folder that has a movie. The problem is, when it's played, it jumps right to the second chapter menu. All buttons are disabled. I can open VIDEO_TS.IFO in IFOEdit, but I'm not sure where to look to fix all the link problems. There's actually a main menu at the end of VTS_01_4.VOB, with the other menu's in VTS_02. I've been looking around here for anything on it, but have only found ways to add things, not modify.

Thanks!

Yeah, the second page of the scene selection. The DVD is a converted video of my sister's wedding, and it's setup ugly. I don't have access to the original media she used to make it. All I've got is a copy of the DVD, and she wants me to see if I could clean it up.

Let's do this...open up your VIDEO_TS.IFO with DVD Shrink. What I want you to do is to find the menu you want to actually display. Tell me what menu and what VTS it resides in.

Okay, bit of a glitch. When pointing Shrink to the VIDEO_TS folder, I'm getting a "Invalid data in file H:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB". I've been able to play the files in PowerDVD, but I'm guessing it's more forgiving than others. I don't know if this is related, but when I run IfoEdit, open VIDEO_TS.IFO, Get VTS sectors, then try to save it, I'm getting "The IFO Endsector does not match the file size." I'm thinking I'll just rip it apart with DVD2AVI & TMPGEnc and redo the entire thing from scratch.

What we are going to do is a mock strip, which is stripping your streams but keeping everything. Click on VOB Extras buttons and select "Strip Streams'" option with other default settings. Set a destination folder and press OK. In next window, click on "Check All" and then "Strip it" button. When done, drag only the files that are not in your original folder into your new folder. Click on "Get VTS Sectors" button. Play to test. Do you get any errors now?

Okay, that fixed a lot. Actually, once I did that, it cleaned the entire thing up and began where it was supposed to. Oddly, though, there was a VTS_02_0 & VTS_02_1, but they were 0 byte files. Weird. Anyway, after I tried this, it worked the way I thought it would.

Thanks!
