Boogie Nights R2 decryption?

Have anyone succesfully decrypted Boogie Nights R2?
I have tryed DVDDecrypter 2.9.x.x. It stopped somewhere in the process saying that it found a key that it couldn't decrypt.
DVDDecrypter 3.2.0.0 says this when I run it:

E 14:54:44 [0:1:0] PIONEER DVD-ROM DVD-106 1.22 (H: ) - Disc Authentication Failed!
E 14:54:44 Reason: Failed to decrypt Disc Key


Is there anything I can do about this?

My copy (R2 - UK) of Boogie Nights isn't even protected.

On the main screen, it says 'Copyright Protection System Type: None'.

What does yours say?

I can't doesnt even get that far. As soon as I choose the source drive it gives me this error. All the fields just says "Unknown" like no disk was inserted. :(

ok, you'll have to do it another way.

load the program up with a disc in the drive. Go into the settings and on the I/O tab, enable 'Debug Mode'.

Then put your disc in the drive.

Once it has come up with that error, copy + paste the entire log into your next post.

Sorry, did you say it also errored out with the same message in 3.1.9.0 ?

Not quite the same message.
In 3.1.9.0 i started ripping the dvd but at some point it stops saying that it can't decrypt the key.

If you want the specific error message I can try to install it again??

hmm probably a 'cant decrpyt title key' error.

That wont happen anymore, you'll get this one instead.

Oh well, at least 3.2.1.0 will let you rip the disc - where 3.2.0.0 wont.

Just wait for the mirrors to get it up, then you can download it and give it a try!

I tryed the new 3.2.1.0. It lets me start ripping the DVD but gives me alot of errors, just like 3.1.9.0. :(

ok, just try something for me... copy one of the big vobs (i.e. VTS_07_1.VOB) off using explorer and then try to play it.

I can't copy anythig from the disk using explorer.
When trying to copy VTS_07_1.VOB explorer says:
"Cannot create or replace VTS_07_1: File system Error (-2147351799)"

Run DVD Decrypter first - or at least load it up with the disc in the drive - then try copying across in explorer.

Can the windows dvd players play this disc?

With DVDDecrypter open I am able to copy the files with explorer. I can also play the vob in WinDVD.
Would it work if I just copied the entire DVD to a folder on my harddrive??

Yeah it just seems like you've got a duff dvd.

It's saying it's protected but it isnt really.

That's why the program is unable to decrypt anything.

If you go into DVD Decrypter's settings, on the CSS tab, there's actually and option to set the method to 'None'.

This will mean the program just copies the files.

You should also tick the option to force removal of the css flag.

Once you've ripped the disc, hit the 'defaults' button to get things back to how they should be.
