I was noticed that apparently the devs of the XboxMediaPlayer are have released a newer design called the Xbox Media Center (http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/). Supposedly it actually has Matroska support. Can anyone comment on how good it is?

it should be as good as mplayer's support in the CVS version of 25/1/2004. I don't have my Xbox at home at the moment ( gave it to a friend because I had only very little time to use the last four weeks ) so I can't test it. But I'll try it in the next few days ( after I got my Xbox back ).

In the XBMC build 2004-02-12 has Matroska support, but you can't change the audio track, and the subtitle track.
The XBMC 9-3-2004 crashes if you want to play Matroska files. At least for me.

I have absolutely no problem with the 9-3-04 build and matroska files.
Even better, now it can finally fast forward and rewind into RV10 video in MKV ! Awesome.

I finally got my Xbox back.
All my matroska files ( video codec: XviD / audio codec: Vorbis ) work fine. But I can't change the audio track. ( XBMC 9-3-2004 )
EDIT: I only tried streamed .mkv's ( using Samba )! Maybe it works better with .mkv files on CDR(W) or hard disc. I actually found an option where I can "select" an audio track but it shows only one track ...
