How is this possible using the stable version of besweet? I wish to convert .wav to .mpa 48000hz frequency.

I extracted the audio file from a svcd I have, the extracted file was .m2a, however, I could not get this to work correctly in my dvd authoring software. Besweet also did not appear to recognize .m2a format. I loaded the .m2a in winamp and converted it to .wav, then tested it. Everything sounded great but it's like 600mb hehe. I need to convert this to a dvd compliant .mpa audio stream. Any clues?

Try to run your .m2a through TMPGEnc. Most likely, you won't even need to convert it to .wav first.
