I've been using Vdub VCR sucessfully under Win98. Could capture at 720*576 with either pic video or Huffy UV. Converted to DIVX if needed using Gnot. I decided to go down the Win2000 O/S but I've now got a few problems with caturing now so please give me some advise.
Win2000 with SR4 has a VFW to WDM wrapper (I only assume since Vdub VCR Worked) so not problems there. The capture at 720*576 YUV2 seemed like it had swapped field appearence. This was not the case however since swapping the fields after in vbub made no diiference to the quality. I was using the old Pinnacle 402a drivers so I thought about upgrading, so I tried both 511 and 550 drivers but they were even worse since they would not let me capture above 352*288 since anything else gives an "error 418 unsupported video format".
So now I'm stuck with Win2000 and have all my drives converted to NTFS. I Don't want to go backwards so does anyone know how to fix this? A WDM driver thats works would be helpfull, recommedations for Vdub alternatives?
