Problem with Toolbox

I use toolbox to split movies that won't fit on 1 black without compressing it. The problem I see is that when it splits them the disc 1 looks great, but disc 2 is very pixel looking. Like it compressed it like 50% or something. But when I used instantcopy to burn the discs, the movie isn't compressed at all. Just having problems with disc 2, any ideas.

are you doing movie only splits?

try using DVDShrink and have a look at ddloopings guides as he has one on splitting using reauthor
