Ok I'm running an Athlon 3200+ (Barton) Gig of HyperX Ram PC3700 DDR433 Stuff, 7200rpm 120gb AV Storage drive and Abit AN7 Mobo (NForce chipset) oh and an ATI Radeon 9600XT + BT8X8 compliant cap card.
Fresh copy of XP Pro with nothing else on it
For my encode settings I've got Avisynth resizing from 720x576 down to 640x352, I've got decomb doing a field deinterlace.
I'm doing a fast recompress, and two pass both passes with no audio (audio has been ripped out for VBR encode)
XVid Settings are Motion Pre : 5 VHQ : 1 Chroma : On Quant : MPEG , pretty much everything else as standard for RC3 settings.
My average FPS hovers between 15-21fps
I've seen others getting 30-40fps and was wondering what their setting were and how they're getting this. Or if what I'm doing and the FPS I'm getting for stuff like this is normal.
