When I mount an ISO and rip the contents with DVD Decrypter the ripping shoots out an error at the 4 gig time and there is nothing else to do. Since I'm running FAT32 the ISO is split at the 4 gig point and it seems DVD Decrypter can not access the next files. It does seem them at load up, but apparently can not rip them. Is there anyway around this?

How did you make the ISO in the first place?

My program creates an MDS file when it splits due to FAT32. Dont you get a similar thing from the program you used?

I used Nero to make the ISO. In a recent thread you said you didn't care for how other programs make ISOs because they tack on extra data, so many this is the problem?

It's the only work around I thought up for using DVD Stripper on a DVD that DVD Shrink does not like when ripped to the HDD.

1. Use DVD Shrink on the fly and transcode to a certain percentage.

2. The output is then mounted into an ISO.

3. Load the mounted ISO into DVD Stripper and begin ripping with DVD Decrypter

4. Strip out what I do not want and have no need to transcode now since it was done before.

5. Burn.

6. Take a nap.

If DVD Decrypter can read DVD files from the HDD I could avoid all this. Smartripper can do that, but DVD Stripper needs to use DVD Decrypter since it breaks the DVD into cells or whatever it does.

Maybe I could make the ISO with another program and try? Do you know of what programs wouldn't give an error with a split ISO within DVD Decrypter?

It's the mounting part that's the problem. You're only mounting half the image.

Using ImgTool you should be able to create a single 'huge' ISO image - so long as you're running NTFS and not FAT/FAT32.

You need to get ImgTool Classic - www.coujo.de

Is there anyway to mount the whole image using FAT32? As is all the files are being loaded in DVD Decrypter, it's just when it hits the split part the files can not be read.

Yeah there is.

Load DVD Decrypter and on the 'Tools' menu, select 'Create DVD MDS file'.

Add the sections of the ISO file (in order) and click ok.

It'll make an MDS file for you that you can then load in DAEMON Tools.
