Hi all,

I'm about to start updating the DivX Users Guide and I'd like your input. What features would you like to be covered? What sections did you think were particularly good or bad in the last version? Is there anything you think we missed out? Where did we totally screw up in your opinion? ;)

Get your suggestions in now and help us make the world of DivX a better place.

Please remember that:
1 - The guide has to remain friendly to newer users
2 - This is not an ISO-MPEG4 reference manual
3 - We're trying to avoid covering specific software packages, and instead focusing on encoding and the encoding process in general

By asking users for their input. Does this mean that future/updated versions of the codec won't be including 'anamorphic signalling' and MP4 container support :(

Cheers

I can't tell you what will be in future versions of the codec, and that's OT here anyway :)

I would like to see an explanation of how the DivX Pro deinterlacing algorithms work in the different Performance/Quality modes.

Maybe, I would appreciate clearer and more detailed info about what settings must be the same for various passes and what settings can be used for various passes withing a job.
