Hi all,

I am trying to put a subtitle in a dvd. The dvd is ntsc and i rip the subs with subrip. I use the bmp setting. i save the file as a son(for meastro) and try to import it. How further in the movie how more the subs are out of sync. So i load the subtitle file with subtitle workshop and change the FPS output. INPUT 29.970 OUTPUT 30.000 and save the file as meastro. Now when i import the subs the timecodes are correct but the subs are al misplaced. The subs arn't down but in the left uppercorner. I dont know how i change the subtitle place. When i look at the difference between the subrip and the subtitle workshop .son i see that whith the subrip version before every line a display area code. So thats the problem i think because subtitle workshop doesnt have the area code.

Can anyone help me to get the subs working

thanxx in advantage

for .srt output, subrip has a setting that is usually diabled to write the image position. I think there should be an analog setting for son files as well. I'm sorry im not at a comp with subrip installed atm so i can't check, but look at the format settings: in the text window of subrip, in the menu there should be a "format properties" or "output format settings" item or similar. In the popping up window you choose maestro format (probably under "graphical formats") and look if there is a checkbox to enable writing the picture position.

Subrip isnt the problem. Subrip position is good. ONLY subtitles are out of sync further in the movie
