View Full Version : Why does RA ignore a VTS that DIF4U has demuxed?

Right now I'm trying to back up LOTR:FOTR extras Disc 1. DIF4U chooses to demux the first 6 VTS's and leaves #7 & 8 unchecked. However, RA only wants to encode the first five VTS sets. And when going along with this I end up with an allocation error in nero that complains about a vob belonging to this 6:th vts set. Why is this? Why does RA ignore a VTS that DIF4U has demuxed?

I've burned some discs before in spite of the allocation error that have worked, but of course there have been faulty ones as well, but by now I'm tired of wasting discs (don't have the energy to buy RW's).

My next try was to uncheck the 6:th one in DIF4U but then the overall bitrate dropped quite considerably, and that's no fun.

If you didn't delete any of the Demuxed files, try opening the file called "CCEdata.txt" in DoCCE/BatchCCE and see if all the demuxed video files are there, if so, hit the play button to recode the video files. Then after many hours of decoding, use ScenAid. If that doesn't detect the files correctly, then there is something seriously wrong and post back to this thread.

Wensleydale: Are you sure you didn't demux the DVD by vobid ? ReAuthorist doesn't support this yet - try ScenAid.

I tried Disc 2 of the extras now and got the same result. Indeed the VTS that caused the problem was demuxed by vobid!
I'll try sceneaid at once!

Thanks for your replies!
