Messed time indexes in MaestroSTB & SubRip when adding sub to DVD

Please help me, I'm desperate.
1) Want to add another sub to the DVD.
2) Find sub on the net, it's in 25 FPS I guess, anyway it's not with frames but with time indexes instead.
3) Load it in Subtitle Workshop, keep in and out on 25 FPS, so no changes are made, save it as SubStation Alpha (ssa), in the saved file time indexes are the same as in the input one. Good.
4) Load ssa into MaestroSTB to make it sst or son for SonicScenarist to be able to load it. Keep both in and out timing on 25 still, so no changes should be made to the time indexes, only conversion from text to graphic.

5) Graphic is made excellent, but the time indexes are all wrong, completely different from the input file !!! Why ??? This is killing me, I can't use resulting file with Scenarist because of million subtitle overlapping errors from wrong time indexes…. I have tried lots of other input and output combinations in MaestroSBT (although in and out 25 FPS should work) and I can't make the output index the same as input in any combination !!!

The same problem with SubRip when I convert from the sub found on the net (time indexes) to the Spruce (stl) file. The same wrong indexes, although I specified the input and output both to 25 FPS… And the index offset is identical to the one of MaestroSBT !

Obviously I'm doing something wrong, but don't understand what. I'm begging you, please help me if you can, I've completely ran out of ideas.

Thanks!
