no sound

Hi guys. Just been trying to capture a vhs tape to put on to dvd, film is ok using winvcr to capture, got sound through speakers while recording to harddrive, but when i play back through winvcr or media player or ati multimedia their is no sound. I have checked that line in is selected and the same in my volume controls but to no avail.??????????

Hi Chewbie,

A basic question, but easy to forget: did you enable line in as the source on the RECORDING tab in the mixer (and open up the slider)?

cheers m8, checked all them, unchecked and double checked, just played a vob file through media player and that works, i remember doing a video b4 xmas and that was ok, just a bit confused as to wot is goin on, when recording the line-in is showing a ascending scale of different colours at the side so that must be working, problem is in the playback.
