View Full Version : text-based subs not showing up with vsfilter

Hi there -

I just can't get text-based subs to show up with vsfilter 2.32. It doesn't matter if they are muxed inside a mkv or read from a file: the subs do not show up, instead the video playback gets jerky. I tried ssa and srt with no luck. There is, however, no problem if I use the idx-/sub-flavour ...
See also this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=72146).
I greatly appreciate any help.

With kind regards,
Thoralf.

I really suspect that this is a problem with vobsub: the same jerkiness occurs if I play around with the vertical padding-settings in vsfilter.
Any ideas why? Gabest?

Thanks,
Thoralf.

You still have vobsub installed ? note it will install an old version of DVobSub which is incompatible with vsfilter, at least on some machines. Deinstall vobsub and everything should work fine. If you need Vobsub for your subs, re-install it with DVobSub unticked.

I really wished somebody would make a new vobsub installer, which would find the old dvobsub and unregister it ....
