View Full Version : Scenarist Shuts Down

I am trying to backup The Phantom Menace. I did it by VOBID and generated a Scenaid script. When importing the script into Scenarist it shuts down and I get the "Scenarist has encountered a problem and must shut down..." box. I've searched the forum for this particular error and have found nothing.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this error with Scenarist before.

I had a similar problem and I uninstalled and reinstalled. i don't know if this will work for you tho :(

also keep in mind if you are NTSC and the vobid project uses angles you will have to use scenarist 3.0.

I thought that was only for non-seamless angles?

I have both 3.0 and 2.7 of Scenarist and both of them shut down. I uninstalled and installed a few times (each time cleaning out the registry) but no luck. I ran Attack of the Clones through and so far everything seems to have worked. I did get Scenarist to import the files.

I will try Phantom Menace again after I finish with Attack of the Clones. Any suggestions would still be appreciated.

@eyes - was trying to avoid saying non-seamless another time , but yeah.. just the ntsc/dropframe non-seamless angle projects have the problem ;)

why are you doing vobid demux btw? is dif4u auto selecting it and if so what reason is it giving?

DIF4U said that the VTS contained angles so it switched to VobID.

Jersysman: if you can email me the ScenAid.SCP and ScenAid.log I'll take a look at them.

usually Scenarist just closing out while importing is caused by a track that doesn't get a scene generated for it.

Sure - I'll shoot you an email as soon as I get home tonight.

Did you ever figure out the solution this problem because it has happened to me on the last 2 projects that needed to be done by vobid...and the script was generated by ScenAid.

Not yet... I am hoping for a solution soon.
