fast encoder

trying to find a fast encoder that encodes to mpeg-2. the file trying to encode is about 700mb.avi. whats an encoder that can do this in under 1 hour.

don't now which one to use.

The size of the avi is irrelevant, I mean it could be a few seconds of RAW avi or 10 hours of low res highly compressed stuff.

CCE is pretty quick and gives excellent quality. Main Concept is also I believe pretty quick. Also mencoder. Tried it the other day and got I think 36fps for a 23.976fps source on my XP2000.

Canopus Procoder is very fast too,
but you have to buy it, and its expensive!

@ gonzo24: for mencoder you can tryout my GUI for it. I called it DRPEnc.
