Hi,
i got the dvd region 2 and edited it to remove logo, warnings and three trailers that are played before the main menu.
Thanks to 2Cool's guides i was able to edit the ifos and blanked the vob containing the trailers.
At the end of the work, i tried to play the result with ifoedit end powerdvd and everything worked well.
The problem came when, after shrinking, i wrote the movie in a rw dvd to try it in my standalone player.
The player hangs after loading the disc...the only way to eject it is to turn off the player and eject before it start loading.
The disk works perfectly in my pc...sincerely i don't know what's wrong.
The rw disk that is used haven't any error.
This is the first movie that presents a such problem...other 4 movies, made in the same way (+-) worked perfectly.
Did someone have suggestions ?

Thanks.

And how do you know the disc free of error?

Have you reburned you project again?
Did you try another movie on that disc?

Do a few things such as that to rule our the possiblity of it being the disc.

Well, i tried to burn again the movie, after erasing totally the rewritable disk and i got the same result...i made a dvd-r too, and the problem was the same.
The dvd hangs in the same way, and powerdvd and ifoedit read it perfectly.
The same problem occured with another movie (bringin down the house).
After various experiments, i'm sure that the player hangs because it encounter an error in the structure, but i cannot understand where the error is, because ifoedit and powedvd are able to skip this errorl, playing the movie :(
Also opening the movie with dvdremake demo 1.0 i don't get any error.

Anyone can confirm that software players act in a different way than hw players ?
And if it's true, can tell me a method to discover this different way of playing ?

Thanks.

DvdReMake does not check if navigation commands of imported disk are correct, yet. :)

If it does not complain during import - it just means that all needed files are there and cells needed by PGCs are present in vob files.

Thanks 4 the news, Dimad.
Howevr, i'm sure that i made something wrong editing the ifos.
Now i'm reauthorin the disk from the beginning...i hope to understand where the error was...but yet now i cannot understand why my pc plays the dvd...this will remain a mistery.

I'm only a newbie... :)

Hey Fredericos, have you tried dvdfab, movie only? That movie does fit on 1 dvd if you don't mind losing the extras, I have it. I bet that would work...

Thank for the suggestion Josh, but my goal is to reauthor the disk keeping some extras...i'm sure that i'll be able to do this... :)
