Hi guys!
I have a question. If I deal with interlaced PAL-material wich bitrate viewer says has "ZigZag" scantype, what kind of setting do I use in DoCCE4u? As I remember it there's only "Progressive" and "Alternate" scan available there. Thankful for an answer.

Well i dont normally use bitrate viewer.I use dvd2avi and look at the video footage myself. If i can see combing lines then i know its interlaced and i will encode it interlaced, alternate scan type.If i cant see any lines full stop then i will encode it progressive , zigzag scan type.

You cannot trust Bitrate Viewer, if the source is interlaced or not. Bitrate Viewer just reads a flag and this flag is often set wrong to interlaced.
Master Yoda is do it right to test, if the material is interlaced.
Well, BitrateViewer is spot on too. It tells you whether or not the video was encoded as interlaced. This has nothing to do with whether or not it really looks interlaced. This is important for converting to YUY2 in AVISynth 2.5. If BitrateViewer reports interlaced, you must use ConvertToYUY2(interlaced=true). Thanks guys!
The thing is that I KNOW it's interlaced. Totally combed! I just used bitrate viewer to see what kind of settings I should use in DoCCE4u. ZigZag is not an option in DoCCE4u, so I wonder what settings I shall use!?

ZigZag is the opposite of Alternate. So if you uncheck Alternate you have ZigZag.

So how i encode is ok, if i dont see any combing i set it to encode it progressive, but if bitrate viewer says its interlaced but i see no combing at all even though i set it to encode progressive i need to leave converttoyuy2(interlaced set to true.As the way ive been encode has been working fine.
