View Full Version : Dodgy DVD-RWs?

I was browsing through the stock of DVD-R/RWs at my local PC World since I just got myself a Pioneer 107 and came across a pack of Verbatim DVD-RWs for what seemed like a pretty reasonable price (I forget how much for how many, sorry). However I remembered reading somewhere that there were dodgy versions of some DVD-Rs around and thought I remembered Verbatim being among those whose good name was stolen by disreputable manufacturers, so I looked at the back of the packaging and noticed that they managed to spell Dielectric incorrectly (it was spelt either Dielerctic or Dielerctric).

My question is; are these actually dodgy DVDs for a price reflecting their dodginess (in which case is PC World selling them cheaply because they know this?) or is Dielectric spelt incorrectly on all Verbatim DVD-RW packs. Or is Dielertic a real word and I'm just being stupid (I did search to check for that though, heh).

I didn't buy them, but would like to if they're not some rip-off.
