Scenarist Menus

OK i ahve looked on the forums and tried to work through scenarist the best i can but i just cant get this damn menu to work.

I am not a total scenarist newbee but am still not that good so i decided to try and make a copy of Bad Boys 2 just to practice in scenarist.

Ive managed to rip all the menu's from the vobs into mpegs but i can quite figure out how the menus are made from there.

In one part, you go from the main menu into the trailers menu. theres a little video clip then it runs straight into the menu with music playing all the time. At the end of this, it loops to the menu again but does not play the inital movie.

So what ive tried to do so far is split the mpeg into 2 parts so the movie file plays first then the menu loads, this leaves an annoying pause between the tracks when i test it.

Then ive tried to take the entire mpeg and play the movie then load the buttons a few seconds later, but i can find how to loop the mpeg back the where the buttons are without playing the full clip!

Im at a loss right now, i know there must be some way to loop to it but i really cant get it to work.

And im sure that ill need this sort of effect again in all the other menus.

Well i hope that makes sense and somebody can help me :)

On most of the DVDs I've seen with this effect, they have two separate copies of the menu. First copy includes intro clip and the entire motion menu. When it's finished playing, it goes to the second copy, which is menu only. This second menu loops from the end to the beginning indefinitely.
