Thanks but I'm sure we dont need to duplicate the 'News' page here in the forums do we?

Surely everyone who comes here will already visit www.doom9.org too? - right?

Change Log
DVD Decrypter 3.2.0.0 (29/02/2004)
Added: Command Line switch '/SHUTDOWN' for ISO Write mode
thanks a ton...many users will benefit. CLI is sweet.

Added: Region mismatch dialog box now displays the drive region and the disc region to make the problem easier to see
hopefully less confusion for those not well version in regions I suppose.

Added: '% complete' for more of the 'lengthy' operations (Synchronising Cache, Finalising Disc etc)
cool...it helps as those you use DVD-R takes about 90secs for it to finalize.

Added: Support for XBOX images that have had their ISO filesystems removed
hmm...I'll have to check into this on the dvddecrypter forums. Never had a problem backuping up custom made xbox .isos.

Changed: ISO Write mode code to hopefully make it more stable
never had a problem with stability.

Does this mean you can backup your xbox games? I would like to stress backup

No, it doesn't.

Someone just sent me a 10 meg example of an image they'd got from somewhere and said my program wouldnt accept it.
I found out that it wouldn't accept it because a special tool had been used on it to remove the ISO file system - supposedly it makes the games load quicker... I dunno. XBOX uses a different filesystem you see - or at least I think it does. lol

Anyway, I fixed it so it can burn these images too.

ok thanks for the clarification Lightning UK!
as for using dvddecrypter you can rip to an xbox .iso and burn that .iso if it's already on a DVD-R. Just can't use it to read an original since it's written backwards and no dvd-rom player can read those except in an xbox.

Just reading through the list of all the fixes. Didn't realise there were any problems with this brilliant prog. Thanks Lightning UK for the prog.

I thank you for that very useful software, but I wonder why we can only select a DVD-ROM drive and not any (sub)directory.

It's explained to some extent in the thread DVD Decrypter from a HD folder (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30730).
