I'm backing up "Say Anything..." (R1) and I get this error when I try to multiplex using Scenarist:

Error Number of channels are different between VTS__04_P01_80(0) and VTS__04_P02_80(2).
Error The Audio Attribute(Language, coding mode and so on) in PGC<VTS4_Title2_PGC2>:Stream<0>:Title<VTS4_Title2> is different from The Reference PGC<VTS4_Title1_PGC1>

That VTS contains trailers and such. All of the audio is 2ch so I checked what Scenarist had to say about the properties of the audio and when I checked for "VTS__04_P01_80" it said: Bitrate - 192 kbps; Channel - 1:1; LFE On - No.
When I checked for "VTS__04_P02_80" it said: Bitrate -192 kbps; Channel - 2:0; LFE On - No. All of the other tracks in the VTS have 2:0 listed as well.

Obviously the problem is with the channels on VTS__04_P01_80 but I can't understand why it's this way. I'm guessing I need to try and re-encode the audio to make it 2:0 or something but I have no idea how to go about doing this.

Did you use an application to create your Scenarist Script or did you do it by hand?

one thing you can try doing is selecting the audio files in question (or all audio) and right clicking and say "Data -> Placeholder" then right click again and say "PlaceHolder -> Data"

When Scenarist imports an audio file it does NOT scan it to make sure the script was correct (this is guessing you used a utility like RA or ScenAid) - doing the above will force Scenarist to scan the file and set the values correctly.

If you are doing this by hand and you have that issue, make sure you
a) dropped the correct asset into the right PGC/audio channel

b) load up the audio files in ac3delaycorrector and see what it reports for the channels/LFE - if they are truely different then yes, you have an irregular dvd in which case you ahve to either delete that audio stream or re-encode it

I tried all the things you suggested and it's definitely 1:1 audio...and definitely not working. I tried to use BeSweet and maybe re-encode up to 2:0 but it doesn't support AC3 anymore so I don't know how to make it work. I really love this trailer so I'd want to keep it but I get the feeling that I might have to sacrifice the audio on this one :(

If you have any more suggestions, PLEASE let me know.
