hello,

i got a complete dvd with menu.
i re-author the dvd and put my own subs inside.
if the original dvd has got 1 audio and 3 subs.
when i re-author a dvd with also 1 audio and 3 subs,
the is it necessary to do a ifoupdate?

i got ntsc dvd and put inside dutch subs.
i can put 3 dutch subs inside and 1 audio.
i put the vob files back in the ntsc dvd.
i manualy change the sub colors and the language file in ifoedit.
is this enough?
it has the same number of streams as the original.
or should i do a vts sector update too.?

can somebody help me?
thanks.

The safest way is to try it ;). But I think it should work this way. IfoUpdate (mainly) copies information from newly authored files to old ones and this is not your case. Try to "get vts sector" and burn it on DVD±R.

so you say that everything is the same on both disc.
that's true so then only do "get vts sectors ".
but what does this means? vts sectors?

VTS sectors means VideoTitleSet sectors.

I´m only guessing here, but in my theory after pressing this button ifoedit checks information in IFO files and compares them with VOB structure and if there are some diferencies it will correct them. So - I guess that your audio and subtitle streams are not exactly the same size so the final size of your new vob is different from original one - that´s why in my opinion you should get vts sectors.
