separating titles from vobs?

the common problem i'm running into when splitting a dvd9 is that the extra features is no longer accessable on the 2nd dvd. sometimes these features are extra scenes that are only accessable while playing the movie (well you can disable these restrictions). one solution can be to copy the features vobs to the other disk, but often there's not enough space.

it would be nice to be able to split the vob titles so that extra features related to disk 2 can be copied there. any hints?

You should probably ignore my post, but since you're looking for ideas, here goes.
I assume the extras are all in one title. You could try to re-author that title into two separate titles.
I think you can demux the vobs, split the streams the way you want them and then remux them as two separate titles.
