View Full Version : Why does it take so long to import subtitles using reauthorist script?

Hello everybody,

Scenarist takes too long to import subtitles using reauthorist script, more than half an hour when I keep three subtitles streams.
That's a lot of time, specially when something is wrong afterwards and you have to star the import again.

I don't understand it. Importing subtitles in a project of my own is much much quicker.
Is there any way to accelerate the process using reauthorist script?
I'm afraid not, but...
Thank you

hi Talayero an welcome to the forums!
Is there any way to accelerate the process using reauthorist script? not that i am aware of, although i understand that there may be a way to not import your subtitlesNOTE: you can try by clicking FIle/Options and checking the "don't import subs" box as stated by d3s7 but i have never tried it.
importing subtitles does take a long time particularly when there are lots of bitmaps, and/or forced subtitles.
you can of course not use RA and manually set up your assets but i dont think that will save you any time :sly:

Thanks for your answer.

I think I'll try to import subtitles manually.

May be there are two ways to do that. One is to put the subtitles away from the folder before Reauthorist create the scenarist script. And the other is the one you suggest, using Scenaid instead of Reauthorist and checking the "don't import subtitles" box.

I'll try both of them next time.
