Using Shrink, I've had a couple DVD's that when analysing or decrypting produces the error message that it can't read DVD drive and says:
"Overlapped I/O operation is in progress"
What's this about? Bad DVD?
Thanks for any help.

Are you using the latest version? 3.1.7 Beta 2 I believe?!
As the program makes use of overlapped I/O, I fail to see why this would be a problem. I mean, it must cope with technology it uses - right?
I'm not sure if dvdshrink reads this forum much. The topic/post might be better off in the 'One click DVD backup solutions' forum.
I'll give it a couple of days and then move it ;)
Meanwhile, why dont you just rip with DVD Decrypter and then open it from your hdd in DVD Shrink instead of from the dvd drive itself?

You can enable or disable overlapped I/O in the DVD Shrink preferences (it doesn't make much difference on most systems).
The error message can be misleading: it is the last error code returned by the operating system, and often seems to come up whether DVD Shrink is doing overlapped I/O or not!
Follow LIGHTNING UK's advice and rip first to your hard drive with DVD Decrypter. This will usually solve the problem.
