Here's the deal...I have 900MHz computer that I want to use for internet and tv capture but it has a few problems.
The computer has an ATi AIW Rage 128 Pro, which is fine for capping video at up to 720x480 (or so it says) but I can't get it to cap over 320x240 in Vdub, iuVCR, and a few other capping programs. I'd try the ATi MMC that it's made to work with, but it always hard locks the computer at radom times while it working, so you can never use it for extended periods of time.
I downloaded the latest Rage 128 drivers from ATi like it was recommended but when I go to install it past the license agreement, it says "this software has nothing to do with your card" or something to that effect.
The other problem is audio. The card has no audio out on it (or that I can see) for the TV tuner, so I cannot get audio when I capture something. It's fine if I use my VCR for capturing tapes because I can use the RCA to minijack converter to get audio, but I don't want to have to have my VCR hooked up and my card on the same channel to get sound! There is some old-school cd audio ports on the card though, one that says "CD IN" and another that says "CD OUT"...Would this work if I hook it up to the soundcard through one of its cd inputs?
Thanks for any help!
