View Full Version : Crash when loading video

While trying to fix my problems with the cut-list not being saved, I decided to do a complete reinstall. I removed all the VDub-related keys in the registry and deleted the VDub directory. I then installed 1.5.10.1 into a new directory, then patched the EXE to build 2424.

Now, I can load VDubMod, but even the simple task of opening an AVI file generates "instruction at 0x0000 tried to reference memory at 0x0000". Loading an AVS script just quits the program abruptly.

What's happening?

Thanks.

Some testing...

- latest version of VDub works ok
- 1.5.10.1 and all its betas give the above crash no matter how/where I reinstall them
- 1.5.4.1 and previous work ok (including sending cuts to the processing settings)

The only thing I can think of that might have caused the crashing is that I installed DVX. Still, it's strange that other versions work.

it can't be DVX because you are the first DVX user who experienced this. Did you try to use all the latest files from the VDM site, not the ones that ship with DVX. If this don't work it must be either your source or your system, in WinXP you could make a system recovery
