I don't know if this is the right place for my problem.... I'm trying to backup each of the 2 movie disc of lotr2tower extended edition (italian version) with dvd2dvd (dvd2svcd with dvd output) but when scenarist is multeplexing (so at the end of the entire process) it crashes with the error "the memory couldn't be written". The strange thing is that i obtain a similar error using dvd2dvd-r when it starts ifoedit for multiplexing. I think there is something strange with subtitles cause if i manually author dvd with ifoedit (starting from files from dvd2dvd-r) subtitles are almost unreadable cause they have no borders. Final question: is there a method to author files from dvd2svcd without using Scenarist?

HHHMMMMM no one seems to reply to your inquiry... ok, the only other authoring program that I know of is eiter DVDLab or TMPGenc DVD Author... see if you can find their website and get a demo, I don't have links to give, sorry!
Hope that helps

@Grunter
Regarding the subtitle colors: if you author with IfoEdit, you lose your original colors and the subtitles turn green. This is because the original colors are stored in the original IFOs. This can be fixed through the Subtitle Color menu in IfoEdit. Search around, it's been covered quite a few times.

Why don't you try a big 3 project and see if it can succeed where the other 2 failed?

Thank you for the suggest. I'll retry with ifoedit.
