I tried using gudes to remove everything that was running before main menu in Lost in translation DVD, but had no success. Could somebody help me?
Thanks

From what I remember, this was a very simple DVD in terms of commands (I'm talking about R1 here). I just told it to jump to the root menu for first play, and it worked without a hitch. I saw no ill-effects from skipping the sections I blanked out (regarding possible missed value-sets and such).

I guess it depends what you're using to transcode. I assume you're wanting to yank extra titles then reencode with something. I used IfoEdit to set title 16 to play first, then I used InstantCopy and removed titles 1, 2, 3, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 23. I set the menus to 60.00%, all bonus features to 50.00%, and the main feature to 72.80%. I kept the 5.1 AC3 audio and all subtitles. InstantCopy 7.1.1 will be in the red and say it will take 4.41 GB, but the final image comes out to 4,696,961,024 bytes.
