with "Minnetonka Audio" releasing a dvd-A authoring program for under a hundred bucks(Discwelder Bronze) I was wondering if any one was closer to being able to rip all that high res music on dvd-a to there hard drives

maybe i can finally make a true hi res mix dvd-a instaed of a dts-cd

Well if anyone is interested, I think a good place to start would be looking at windvd's capability of playing DVD-A. It must have the mlp deoder (MLP stands for "meridian lossless packing" it is the method used on DVD-A to pack the audio so it does not exceed the maximum bitrate allowed by dvd standards when 24/96 6 channel audio is requried).

Maybe if dvd dycrypter was able to open the AOB files....Well If I new exactly how to do it I wouldnt be asking but its just a thought. Maybe someone with more expertise then my self could work on it; I know all about the technical aspects of DVD-A minus the encryption method. If anyone is willing to take the time to wrestle this one I
think it would be worth while.
