I have one problem joining avi files. I have two avi files with the same specifications and I join both in a bigger one. When I reproduce my movie in my PC with the program Win DVD, all goes Ok, but if I burn a DVD and intent to reproduce it in my DVD domestic player, which is capable to read this format, when the movie arrives to the last frame of the first file, the reproduction is stop.

I have made the junction with different programs, AVI Joiner and AVI/MPEG/RM/WMV Joiner. Also I do it with Virtual Dub cutting some frames of both files and the result is always the same. The reproduction continue to stop in the last frame of the first file.

But if I burn the DVD with the two files separated once the first has finish I can continue playing the second.

Can you say me how can I solve this problem?

How are your files encoded? I assume DivX, and that you've got a DivX capable standalone.
Maybe the first file was encoded with GMC off, the second with GMC on. The standalone probably doesn't support GMC.

But he said that both files play well on standalone when separated.

It could be because of sound. I suggest that try to join 2 AVI without sound, and handle (join) sound separated and mux it to only video joined.
You may try only video first, to be sure that not audio is problem.

Sometimes happens that audio is little shorter than video - it will cause async in second part after joining. In that case you nedd to padd audio of first part.
