Hi everyone. I While capturing with VirtualDubMod, i can't go above 352x288 resolution. I tried all resolutions and coloerspaces above 352- VD gives me an error goes back to 352. I have no problem though with oter programs, like VirtualVCR or Iuvcr - i can capture there up to 768x576. Does anyone know why is this happening?
p.s. I have Bt848 card, windows 2000, and VDM-bt8x8 driver.
Thanks.

From http://www.virtualdub.org/docs_capture
try 'preview' mode, or disable preview alltogether during capping

Thanks, i read the faq already and tried to changing to preview or even disabling any preview - doesn't change a thing, still receiving error: "error 418 unsupported video format"
Will try reinstalling any drivers/software.

Don't reinstall anything, it will not solve problem.
Reason is actually incompability of V Dub with WDM capture drivers - V Dub is made for old VFW drivers.
Some new cards have drivers which override this limit, but most hasn't.
Solution can be usage of BTWincap drivers - it will allow full res. in V Dub.

Thanks ppera2.
I did what you said - i installed alternative bt8x8 driver and now everything is working. I can capture with any resolution i want.
Thanks again
