OK, im backing up Lion King 3(known as lion king 1 1/2 in the usa).Now the main title VTS_10 is multiangle or button over as dif4u says w/angles and the ifo has (angle1) and (angle2),But theres a button over feature in the menu.Now the vts_10 is 4.43GB, but if i strip out the 3 foriegn DD5.1 tracks it goes down to 3.74GB.Now the i am a lazy person so im trying to do this without re-encodeing and authoring the main movie.Now the vts_10 menu is 427mb, so i'll re-encode that with numenu.The video_ts.vob is like the first lion king, its 600mb, but if u play the video_ts.vob in dvd2avi theres no video, its just a black screen.Now im guessing this is a fake vob like the lion king.So if i run this through numenu will it try to re-encode it or just strip remove the fake ids ?? also in the fake video_ts post influenza said something about stripping the ids with ifoedit as its quicker than nemenu, how would i do this ?? i know how to strip stuff just never done fake ids, so i dont know what ones to strip.

basically, numenu4u will look into the ifo to see if the vob id's are present in the PGC's. if they are they are kept, if not they are removed. if they are not in the PGC's then they will never be called, so there is no point in keeping them. However, if the author has included them in the PGC's then there is no way for me to know if they are real or fake; possibly an analysis of the pre/post commands may determine this, but fot now, in this instance follow Inflenza's advice of stripping id's with ifoedit.

If i open ifoedit and open the video_ts.ifo and in the vgm overview and godown to langauge menu unit 1: [english] menu 1: [title-menu] is id 1.Menu 2: -> menu 10: have no programs,no cells and no ids.Mwnu 11: [entry-only] have 6 programs,6 cells and ids 2->7. Now if i double click on menu 1 i get a preview which is just a black screen, if i double click on menu 11 i also get a black screen just more frames.So i used ifoedit to strip menu 11, ids 2->7.I just kept menu 1,id 1. The video_ts.vob was 600mb(586mb in my computer), after stripping its now 358kb. So i take it i stripped it correct as im assuming that its a fake video_ts as theres no video just a black screen.
Now doing this im hoping it plays ok.

sounds like a fake, that nm4u would be unable to pick up, but to be sure do check the pre/post commands of other vts to make sure pgc's 2-10 aren't called at all, and first play PGC

I think if im gonna back this up even with stripping the foriegn dd5.1 tracks im still gonna need to re-encode the movie other wise the avg on the extras will be toooooooo low.Plus after stripping the audio with ifoedit its change the (angle1) and (angle2) to IlVu.

Now i have done one seamless disc.But i have never done a angle and button over disc.I think the second angle is for the button over.Now i know i have to demux by vobid, and theres alot about 50 of them.Now if i do decide to do a full backup instead of a movie only , will i need to do any of those command things like in the button over guide or does scenaid do all that for you ??
Secondly after demuxing by vobid is there any quick way of running all the files through dvd2avidg or do i have to do them one at a time.
Also is there a quick way to correct the audio delays, cause doing each audio tracks gonna take time, would'nt mind so much if it was 5 -> 10 ids, but 50........

what i did on this movie (atleast for R1) was strip out the languages and what not i dont' wnat. That brought it to size.

I also had the same problem as you with IFOEdit changing Angles to ILVu, but what i did was opened up the original IFO in a second one, and change the Cell Type (VTS_PGCITI>>PGC1 or 2, after all the Pre and Post commands) to the right numbers in the edited IFO i stripped the streams from.

It plays fine in my player, and the BOV works fine

If i strip out unwanted audio and strip the fake video_ts its still gonna be too big, i could re-ecode the extras but the bitrate will be very low.

This was all before Zeul implemented this nice feature to detect fake pgcs. In fact i think it was the start of developing it.

So I would just suggest using numenu as this does it quite reliably.
