I've found using OagMachine makes "slow" AAC files (about 10% longer, encoder is Nero 6.3) when transcoding .AC3.
Why?

because it uses the psytel aac encoder and not the one from nero

Isn't this because Nero's AAC resampling issue? (I mean, issue with Nencoder).
Try resampling the audio to 44100 Hz, if you're not already doing it.

Post your logfile. If you're using the latest bsn.dll there should be no problems. I don't understand bond's statement totally since you said you're using nero ;)
