View Full Version : jerky playback of AVI (DivX/AC3) - will remuxing help?

Hi,

some time ago I backupped some DVDs to CD using DivX5 and AC3. However, playback's pretty jerky all the time, and I found out here in the forum that it's all about muxing audio and video streams correctly if you want to avoid that.

I thought "well, then let's just demux them, and then properly remux them". Well, I tried demuxing them with Nandub, but playback of the video stream (w/o audio) would still be jerky.

Was my initial thought of remuxing wrong? If not, could someone just outline what steps would have to be taken to demux (muxing of DivX video and AC3 audio are well covered here, as I take it)...

Thanks a lot!
