View Full Version : DVD Burner - Where to go for comparisons/reviews?

I've poked around here at doom9, and even though everybody and his dog seems to have a burner and a favourite media, I don't see anything resembling lists of specs and comparisons or reviews for DVD burners. I'm starting to think about buying one, and I'd like to be able to do my homework. By which I mean I'd like to have someone do my homework for me!

Any ideas about a place I could go to get the low-down on any and all DVD burners?

Or, anybody got rave reviews (or definite "AVOID!" sentiments) for DVD burners I should be looking at (or staying away from)??

Thanks!

Another Toms (http://www.tomshardware.com/storage/20030207/index.html)

For user rated reviews check vcdhelp.com.. At the top right of the page click on dvd writer reviews. Although many ratings may be slanted by people who just received their new drive, there is also info on types of media tested and such.

Oh and this is my first post simply because I'm a firm beliver in rule #2.

:D
