subtitles not showing on standalone

I have added a subtitle to a dvd, and I also kept one of the subs on the dvd, and corrected colours with ifoedit. When I play it in winDVD or PowerDVD it looks just fine.
But when I play it on my standalone there are no subtitles. Why can't I see them? What have I done wrong?

I have used DVDShrink, Subtitle workshop, Srt2sup, Vobedit, IFOEdit and IFOUpdate. Then I used IFOEdit again to correct the colours.

sometimes, depending of the standalone, you have to stop then restart your DVD to make subtitles appear. I don't know why, and I'm not sure that's your problem, but that's the only explanation I see... Just weird.

Thanks! But that was not the problem. I tried to stop the movie but still no subs.
