I backed up a movie (American Pie) to a blank DVD-R. The procedure I followed was:
1. Ripping with DVD Decrypter
2. Stripping of main title only with one language and one subtitle stream (greek) with IFO Edit
3. Check directly from target folder that everything is OK (it was)
4. Burning to a blank disk with CopyToDVD
I have used the above method more than 150 times with excellent results. Only when there is no possibility to fit the stripped movie into a blank disk, I use DVD2One.
Yesterday evening, I decided to watch the movie to my set-top player. BUT THERE WHERE NO SUBS, EVEN I HAD SELECTED THEM USING THE CONTROL!!!
The first thing I did was to check the movie to both PC's I have. Subs were displayed correctly. Then, I started checking DVD-R's to the deck player and every movie was OK with subs (I checked over 30 disks). But the specific one wasn't giving me any subs at all on the deck - nevertheless, subs are fine on PC!!!
Any suggestions on what may have happened? I appreciate any suggestions that might help me understand this...
Thanks in advance. Regards from Greece.
