Hi There : )

I keep getting sync issuse with particular rips. It seems to be audio related. I've got one clip that refuses to sync in HE -ACC, Vorbis and MP3. It only works with the original AC3. May be this is Dvd2Avi miss reporting the delay , but it behaves as I would expect with the new verision and the old V 1.76 (0msec with 1.77.3dg and -80msec with 1.76) Whats more the audio gets more out of sync towards the end. I have to set the delay to arround -355msec. In MPC to get it right.

Any thoughts?

Have you checked playback on a 2nd PC, to be sure this is not playback related ?

might be a problem with the sound encoding, how exactly are you encoding the audio?

Definatly a playback issue. On the same PC in win 2k ac3 and mp4/acc needed -350ms, mp3 needed -1150ms. Which is completely different from xp. This has really got me. The only thing that I can think of is that it could be a direct show issue. On XP ac3 is mapped to its own filter. This has only happend on 2 ont of 35 encodes useing the rv9/he-acc mkv format. I'll check to see if this happens in a xvid/mp3 avi encode.

Thanks for your sugestions

Sync is ok with an Xvid Jambo encode straight out of Dvd2avi (no avs) and the same alt preset standard mp3 stream that needed -1150ms in an mkv.
I tried reencoding the rmvb and saveing the d2v as a 1.76 project for auto rv9 and encoding again. But to no avail. I still need arround -350ms in MPC to sync in. Any issues with the mkv spliter in MPC? I'm realy stuck on this one. Any one got any diagnotstics I could try?

Thanks.
