OK,

I am continuing a post where I am having problems burning movies that have been reduced. When they are played on my computer they show really good quality. When I burn them to the DVD and play them I get blocks every few seconds that look like when your satellite gets blocked by a storm or clouds. Data Loss! I was told to try different media and told that I needed to try different media like Ritek. I got Ritek and it did improve some, but I was also told to try to reduce my burning speed. I have a HP 200j writer that burns at 2.4x. I cannot find a way to reduce the speed to 1x in Nero. Is there a way? If not, is there another program that allows me to do this? If that is so, how do I make sure al the Nero stuff is removed so I don't have any driver or dll conflicts so the new program works without problems?

I need to try this before I decide have to go and buy a new DVD writer.

Is my question not worthy of a reply?

First of all, try playing your discs on a different standalone player. Also, check that you're using 2.4x media rather than 4x; supposedly, this may cause issues.

I don't believe any PC DVD+RW drive can burn with the speed below 2.4x. The advice about reducing the speed is mostly applicable to DVD-R burners.
