Hi I read an artical about Sony releasing a firmware for there 530 series that makes the drive in to a 8x-burner when using DVD-/+R and a 4x burner when using DVD-/+RW.
Personly I don't own a Sony (got a Nec 1300a) but I thougt it might be something for you people out there who owns one...
