Hi all,
I tried to convert one of my old Divx movies to DVD. I only partially succeeded.
1) Virtualdub-ed the avi to extract the audio to a wav file
2) Tmpgenc-ed the avi to basic mpeg2 streams and obtained an m2v ans another wav.
3) Authored with IFOWEdit and got the vob's ands ifo's.
4) Burned it (to a rw disc).
Two problems:
- sound plays on the computer but not the stand alone player; if I tinker with the player's audio output settings I get audio for a spit second then silence. Could that be because I got a wav instead of an mp2?
- in spite of the fact that the divx was widescreen and I can see that the m2v is also wide on the computer, the standalone crops the sides and fits the image vertically. Is there a way to tell IFOEdit to use widescreen by default?
Thank you.
