Until recently, I've been able to identify the codecs, number of audio channels, fps etc. by right-clicking on an .avi in Windows explorer and selecting properties>advanced properties.
This ability has recently been removed, I presume by an automatic Windows XP update.
Can anyone deliver a fix or hint for the problem? (like the recent one that fixed WinXPs inability to delete recently opened .avi files)
Alternately, which software exists that can identify an .avi's properties? (Vdub shows much file information, but still lacks many properties)
