Is there a limit as to how many vob files there can be?
because my end product will have 10 vob files (approx. 9.4 GB)
Is this possible to have and then create new ifos using ifoedit?

Is this possible to have and then create new ifos using ifoedit? The max is 9. Also, the filenames need to conform to DVD filename specs of 8.3 format, which means eight alphanumeric characters, followed by a period, and then a three letter extension. For example...
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_01_5.VOB
VTS_01_6.VOB
VTS_01_7.VOB
VTS_01_8.VOB
VTS_01_9.VOB
VTS_01_10.VOB (9.3 = Out of DVD specs)
The filename's letters must also be in CAPITALs.
There is a certain case in which 10.3 filenames are used and only VOBedit needs it that way when joining cells. e.g. VTS_01_001.VOB, VTS_01_002.VOB, VTS_01_003.VOB, etc...
