Identity, I didn't get it. (spoiler alert!)

I watched Identity and though I'm not the worst at looking through the plots in movies, I couldn't figure it out exactly.

If you haven't seen it don't read this thread if you don't like spoilers.

Now to what I remember to this movie(it's not much):

This guy with some russian name (can't remember what it was) has drastic multiple personality problem. Now, was he the little boy that killed everyone in the motel and grew up, 30 years later he got caught because of some other murders and lands with that psychiatrist? As far as I remember that motel murder stuff only happened in his head, did it not? So what where the murders he did actually commit?

Someone help getting some clearity in there :)

As a grown up in real life he also committed some murders at a motel (4, IIRC), but those are not mentioned with much detail.

I think the motel scenario the psychiatrist helped to create was to give him a chance to kill all the other personalities.

ah, I see. What threw me off a little was the other murders which he was convicted of. They were only hinted in form of a few lines and pictures that got thrown in fron of his face.

Interesting movie though, they showed mostly the things which happened in that guys head..to me they looked a little to realistic but that was the catch of the movie wasn't it :)

Yep.

The entire movie takes place in that dudes head, bar the scenes in the judges room, and the other obvious ones. ie: the very last scene.

LOL, I actually thought the movie was over, but then come to the realization that I had forgot about that little kid. And he was the punk that killed everyone.

I would say that, that kid was the guy's true personality.:devil:
