I was playing around the other day and backed up my copy of Enemy of the State. Well I used ifoedit to spit it and then did the normal way (according to doom9) and added all the extras for both disc's. Everything worked fine accept for one problem.

I can play the split DVD, but when the movie comes to a scene that has the date and time scrolled along the bottom or the top like the very beginning where the senator is meeting at the park by the lake. What happens is it plays the english version and then it cuts back to the french version and plays the scene over again. The captioning is first in english, the French but the spoken language is both in English.

I was wondering if anyone knows what I did wrong, or what setting that needs to be changed to not repeat these scenes?

thanks ahead for any help,
diehard

I don't have this particular DVD, but it sounds like it contains multiangle cell blocks. The French text is meant to appear when you turn on French audio track.

Here's how to fix this using IfoEdit. Open the original IFO containing the main movie on HDD. In the main movie's PGC you'll probably see some cells marked Angle 1 and Angle 2. Click VOB Extras, check Remove Angles box that should be available, select Keep Angle 1, check Correct Vob-Unit Pointers and Correct IFO Files, then select a destination folder. IfoEdit will strip the duplicate portions of the movie with the French text on the screen.

Replace the original titleset with the one you just produced and then perform your backup again.

I had the same problem with this movie. I wasn't able to correct the problem with ifoedit(older version). The only thing that worked for me was to rip the movie with DVDdecrypter in ifo mode.

@diehard_1955

IfoEdit v0.91 (http://www.ifoedit.com/) can get rid of your angles. ;)
