The Problem: We are making a DV film and we use a 16:9 converter so that we save our resolution. Recently we spent an entire day preparing for a one hour shooting session.
This was footage for a special effect and involved conditions which would be hard to repeat. The camera was suspended from a boom and rotated constantly around the actors being filmed. The problem, looking in the small LCD neither the cameraman nor I noticed that the converter lens was on askew by about 20 or 30 degrees until rather late into the filming.
The Solution: Any Ideas??? The distortion introduced here makes you think that the world isn't flat, but it's somehow more complex than simply rotating the video again. I have seen some amazing things done with General Convolution. Could this be a solution??
Thanks,
